Punta Arenas is going to be this month the center of “Ice Bridge” NASA’s operation, whose aim is to unravel Antarctica’ secrets, the continent that holds 90 per cent of the whole world sweet water and is the key in climatic evolution of the planet.

Twenty six projects 9 of which are experimental and 17 bibliographic were selected for the 6th School Antarctic Fair (FAE in Spanish) which has as subject this year “Antarctica and evolution: discovering the secret language of life”. As a whole, 55 works from 23 cities of the country with 117 students and 46 teachers took part this year.

Although Agunsa is a company born in 1960, its history goes a lot back of that date. It was born in 1960, founded by Compania Chilena de Navegacion Interoceanica, better known as Interoceanica (Interoceanic), which in turn was created by Braun & Blanchard, a steamship company that at the end of 19th century linked ports, cove s and inlets in Magallanes.
