THE SOUTHERNER RACE OF THE WORLD IS BACK
pat-expeditionThe Wenger Patagonian Expedition Race is back on its eighth edition this February with the current champions facing the greatest land on history, on a route which shall create the southerner and demanding race ever ran.

Last year event, won by the British team Helly Hansen-Prunesco (recently crowned World Champion of Adventure Races) showed its reputation on the most extreme race of the world, after the USA team Calleva got lost and was rescued after surviving four days eating berries. This year the event will remember the Bicentennial of Chilean Independence with more than 600 kilometers of trekking, kayaking, climbing and biking following the steps of explorers Hernando de Magallanes and Charles Darwin, through the amazing region of Tierra del Fuego on Chilean Patagonia.

The race organizer Stjepan Pavicic says: "Every year we explore new areas of Chilean Patagonia so the race may be more attractive, extreme and unexplored as possible, always to the limit of human resistance. The historical average of teams crossing the finishing line is less than 50% and in last year edition it was less than 30%, so this year promises to be interesting".
