With a successful visual register of the Antarctic marine bottom located in front of Villa Las Estrellas, on Fildes Bay, King George Island, ended the Bicentennial Scientific Expedition organized by the Chilean Antarctic Institute (INACH), which had this year an outstanding involvement of national and foreign scientists.
Results were presented to the local press by the members of the expedition who emphasized the interest of foreign researcher residents in Chile in taking part in these research initiatives in Antarctica as well as cooperation of the World scientific community. The Antarctic Scientific Expedition took place from November of 2009 to February of 2010, gathering on the field 72 researchers who worked on 27 projects.
