A protocol visit to the Mayor of Punta Arenas paid naval officers from the Spanish school-ship "Juan Sebastian de Elcano", led by the ship commander, captain Manuel de la Puente Mora-Figueroa. He was accompanied by Spain General Consul Victor Luis Fagilde, honorary consul in Punta Arenas Rodrigo Fernandez and Defense attaché captain Juan Manuel Reyna Munuzurri.
The ship is taking part in the Bicentennial Sea Race along with vessels from other ten countries..
