Chilean Navy patrol boat "Sibbald" rescued yesterday, Wednesday 9th, German lone navigator Bernt Lüchhtenborg, 56, whose "Horizons" yacht ran aground at Cook Bay, Puerto Williams harbor master.
As soon as the emergency was known, Navy authority ordered the search of the yacht by patrol boat "Sibbald", supported by "Drakar II" boat and a Navy airplane, finding the boat, partly sunk and its crewmember ashore, who was rescued and moved to Puerto Williams hospital, where he was diagnosed with a right forearm fractured and a slight cut in his right eyebrow.
