This winter festive organized by the town council, started the first day of July. Since last year, Mayor Vladimiro Mimica decided that the two usual winters events of the city, the Carnival and the Folklore Festival should become a great winter season festive, adding to these events video movies in neighborhoods, literary gatherings in neighbors clubs, child movies, youth sport competitions, gastronomic shows, book fair, a dip in the Strait of Magellan and, of course the Folklore Festival in Patagonia, where Chilean and Argentinean musicians compete with their songs and the Carnival with its queen.
