 Scientific research and tourism in Antarctica are a Challenger, said today Intendenta (Governor) of Magallanes Liliana Kusanovic, at arrival to the white continent with regional Tourism Director Andrea Tellez .
To get working Antarctic tourism under strict regulations to protect environment, under control and of first level, besides scientific and research development which must be kept, and which is done with important presence in situ by Chilean Antarctic Institute (INACH) is the great challenge which must be generated on this administration, said Kusanovic.
In this sense, according to INACH deputy director Veronica Vallejos, current government has clearly shown support to the work of this organization creating concrete initiatives supporting more and better activities with Antarctic vision, always according to current international regulations of the Antarctic Program and the National
Antarctic Policy.
